Music's biggest night hailed Britney Spears as the biggest winner, collecting six awards out of eleven nominations. Kanye West, who tied Spears with eleven nominations, won three awards. Maroon 5 won four awards including Best New Artist. Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson became the first siblings to land nominations in the same categories for their entries in Best Female Pop Performance and Best Pop Album.
